WHAT'S IT ALL ABOUT?
Sensible War is for those who find the world simultaneously funny, depressing and completely ludicrous, often all at once.
It is straight to record, DIY alternative indietronica. No live shows. No performing. No anxiety. A brand of happy hopelessness.
It came from a love of music, and a desire to make something that might last longer than its maker. The songs then became the place to put the observations, frustrations and absurdities that kept turning up along the way.
If you’ve heard these songs, you know too much.

WHERE IT ALL BEGAN
DAYBEAU was the result of a first foray into recording and producing.
Released in 2024, this 10-track debut album was written, performed, recorded and produced solely by Sensible War, and mixed and mastered in partnership with Neks Official. This would become the process for each subsequent album.
DAYBEAU was described by The Sounds Won't Stop as an “outside-the-box and progressive approach to alternative pop, indie rock, and more.”

WHERE IT WENT THEN
FREND is the second album by Sensible War.
Released in 2026, it moves between anxiety, alienation and frustration without settling into a single emotional register. Funny and bleak within the same breath, it is abrasive one moment and strangely tender the next.
Where DAYBEAU wondered at the absurdity of the world, FREND argues with it.
The album saw a return to the partnership with Neks Official, who mixed and mastered the record. It also introduced Maria Grig, who interpreted and performed violin and viola parts composed by Sensible War on two tracks.
